The Maintenance Planner is responsible to facilitate continuous improvement in plant reliability through TPM development and maintenance / project planning and for maintenance development and scheduling for Brewing & Utilities. Also to ensure optimum utilization of plant, spare parts and people, to produce quality product at minimum cost which meets customer requirements while complying with the Brewery standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Planning of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance activities Generating relevant information by analyzing data from follow up & maintenance records and interpreting the resulting information so as to take the appropriate corrective action  

   1. Plans for the effective maintenance, calibration, repair of equipment and optimization of plant and associated devices by locating plant equipment, spares and relevant documentation / systems and developing the plan

      1. Conducting scheduled Plant, Process & Equipment Audit and providing information for optimization of availability, performance & efficiency respectively.

      2. Ensure MMS (maintenance system), QMS, ERP, EMS and KIAZEN principles are in place and recording of activities in the appropriate operating formats and Documentation is properly made.

      3. Monitor the plan on the planned maintenance outage to ensure effectiveness

      4. Make recommendations to the maintenance controller, unit manager and packaging engineer if unforeseen work arises

      5. Prepare spare parts and all other resources to carry out preventive maintenance Ensuring smooth flow of materials by eliminating the bottlenecks if any, in production

      6. Generate system improvement ideas and follow their implementation when approved.

      7. Perform other duties given to him/her by his/her immediate leader.

      8. Autonomous Maintenance and Asset Care in place and working

      9. Continuously improve (optimize) plans and looks for opportunities to reduce the overall planned maintenance outage, whilst ensuring that all required work is carried out and the plant is not placed at risk

      10. Works well in teams by communicating effectively within teams and all levels in the plant while also contributing to self and team development

      11. Schedule development and improvement training

      12. Maintain 5S  in areas of responsibility 

      13. Sustains what has been implemented.

Reports to Maintenance Manager

Ensure all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately, within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

Academic requirement: MSC/BSC in Engineering or related fields 

Work experience: 4/6years of relevant experience
