Plumber & Sanitory worker is responsible to install, maintain and repair sanitation units, water and gas supply lines, heating systems, and associated fixtures and appliances in residential, compound, and industrial structures. He/She is responsible to be required to design and inspect plumbing systems, perform diagnostics, and ensure they comply with regulatory codes. Responsible to perform maintenance of office furniture, door, window and other infrastructure, including 5S painting, require to install and maintain greener water line.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts.

• Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.

• Fitting and repairing various domestic appliances.

• Cutting, welding and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.

• Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.

• Handling brewery queries and responding to call outs.

• Troubleshooting and resolving problems, Preparing cost estimates.

• Installing and maintenance of greener water line in the brewery

• Reading blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems

• Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)

• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)

• Repair and replace system issues such as clogged drains, faucet problems, broken drainage lines and so on

• Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.

• Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning, using different testing method.

• Assemble valves, fittings, tubes and water system appliances

• Preform 5S painting activities across the brewery

• Preform other task as assigned by line supervisor.

Working area: Oromia region, western Shewa/Ginchi  

Job Requirements

Education background: Diploma/ Advance diploma/BSC. from Technical School in plumber, sanitation or related field

Work experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience as a plumber & sanitary work

Additional skill:

• · Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, compound and industrial buildings

• · Valid plumbing certificate.

• · Good working knowledge of water supply and air systems.

• · Proficiency in reading blueprints and using plumbing tools.

• · Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.

• · Good listening and communication skills.

• · Good interpersonal skills and patience.

• · Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)

• · Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
