Deputy Manager

Reports to: General Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

A Two Electromechanical is seeking a Deputy General Manager to play a pivotal role within our Electromechanical Engineering Team. This position calls for a forward-thinking leader with a strong mix of strategic insight and hands-on operational know-how. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving large-scale projects and streamlining operational processes across multiple sites within our technical and manufacturing network.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s long-term growth and profitability goals across its electromechanical service and manufacturing operations.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities for market expansion, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.

  • Lead the rollout of strategic initiatives and best practices to enhance performance across all operational units and project sites.

Financial Management

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring for multiple departments and project portfolios, ensuring financial objectives are achieved.

  • Analyze financial and operational data to uncover areas for cost savings, increased efficiency, and improved profitability.

  • Support teams in managing key financial metrics such as project margins, cost controls, and revenue growth.

Operational Excellence & Efficiency

  • Ensure standard operating procedures and continuous improvement methodologies are implemented uniformly across all locations.

  • Review and optimize core processes such as project scheduling, resource allocation, procurement, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.

  • Lead lean initiatives and process improvement efforts to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and ensure consistent service quality.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency, service delivery, and financial health.

  • Conduct regular performance assessments with site managers and departmental leads to review milestones, address challenges, and drive accountability.

  • Provide senior leadership with clear and actionable reporting on operational performance, growth progress, and financial health.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Provide guidance and strategic direction to operations teams across service centers and project sites.

  • Drive professional development through training, mentorship, and performance feedback to support talent growth and alignment with company objectives.

  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Growth & Expansion Support

  • Lead the operational integration of newly acquired branches or facilities, ensuring alignment with company standards, systems, and procedures.

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for geographic expansion, service diversification, or capability enhancement.

  • Partner with leadership to execute growth strategies and prepare operational infrastructure for scale.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure operational compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies across all facilities and job sites.

  • Proactively identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect business continuity and asset integrity.

  • Promote and enforce industry best practices in quality control, workplace safety, and environmental compliance.

Job Requirements

Professional Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • MBA or equivalent business qualification is an added advantage.

  • 14+ years of experience in electromechanical operations and MEP project management, including large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

  • Proven ability to manage full project lifecycles — from design coordination and procurement to installation, commissioning, and successful project close-out.

  • Demonstrated success in managing contractual handovers, documentation, testing & commissioning, final inspections, snag list clearance, client approvals, and project handover to operations teams.

Domain Expertise:

  • Strong background in MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, BMS, and ELV systems.

  • Solid understanding of supply chain, import/export logistics, and vendor coordination within MEP environments.

  • Skilled in quality assurance/control, safety compliance, and value engineering.
