Job Description

VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in six of the Regional States of the country. VisionFund MFI is currently looking candidates for the position of the Manager, Human Capital Business Partner Division based at the Head Office. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:

The Manager, Human Capital Business Partner Division will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and coordinating the activities the division. He/She will be directly reporting to HC Department Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • HCBP Division Manager always strives to make sure the HR Policy & Procedure throughout the organization fit the needs, goals, and aims of the organization and its top leadership.

  • As strategic business partner resonates around proactive strategic approach whereby it works more holistically to translate strategy

  • Confirms the alignment of HR activities & initiatives with the organization’s overall business strategy & business needs.

  • Monitor and follow-up the proper cascading of strategic objectives to implementing work units

  • Lead the development of business scorecard of work units of the Institution aligned with the business strategy and specific objectives

  • Enhance the implementation of Strategic HR Management policies, standards, guidelines in operational units of VF

  • Be up-to-date on employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements regarding people management, to help ensure compliance;

  • Help line managers deal with organizational, people, and change-related issues

  • Optimize  organizational design  to  increase productivity and  improve  business performance.

  • Provide guidance on the creation and implementation of HR processes and policies.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements

       Qualification, Skill and Experience:

  • MBA/MA/BA      Degree    in     HRM, Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related fields.

  • A minimum of 7/9 years of relevant work experience, out of which 3 years in senior position preferably in MFI/Banks.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies;

  • Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and decision making skills;

  • Firm belief in teamwork and gender equality;

  • Computer proficiency.

  • Terms of employment: Permanent
