Total Energies Marketing Ethiopia S.C. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Card Back Office Supervisor to oversee all card-related operations, including issuance, customization, top-ups, reconciliation, and reporting.

TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia S.C. is the local affiliate, established in 1950. It markets fuels, lubricants, and specialty products through a network of over 120 service stations across Ethiopia, serving both retail and direct customers.

The Card Back Office Supervisor role plays a critical part in ensuring service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction, directly contributing to the growth of the TotalEnergies Card business.

Key Activities

• Manage and Lead the Card back office and front office team:

  • Manage, administrator, supervise, coach and train employees under supervision and the role also ensures optimal use of operational systems.

• Managing of Card requests, Creation of new clients & Customization:

  • Ensures accurate and customized setup of new clients and cards based on approved specifications.

  • Oversees inventory levels of blank cards, tags, and related materials, ensuring timely procurement and availability of essential items to support uninterrupted card business operations.

After sales service:

• Ensures timely processing of card top-up requests in line with defined KPIs, coordinating closely between front and back-office teams. 

• Manages daily reconciliation of the designated cash account, resolves discrepancies, and produces performance reports.

• Handling customer complaints, enhances service delivery, monitors remote card loading at stations, and supports the implementation of mobile money solutions. 

• Prompt response to customer inquiries and continuous improvement of service efficiency are key aspects of this role.

Control & Compliance:

• Ensures that all card-related control procedures are executed in line with established KPIs. by monitoring daily and weekly reports to identify and support stations with operational issues, analyzing card errors, and reporting card balances to the finance department.

• Ensures proper disposal of used cards in accordance with company procedures, maintaining compliance and operational integrity.

Job Requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Educational Background: BSc/BA degree from a recognized university in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Accounting or similar fields.

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in Marketing-related activities. Training in Sales / Marketing is advantageous.

• Skills: Good reporting /organization, presentation and analytical skills and hard worker, High integrity and honesty in performance of his/her duties and great ease of contact combined with good capacity for self-expression Is necessary.

• Language: Excellent written and spoken English
