Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor daily construction activities on site.
Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, Ethiopian building codes, and EBCS standards.
Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and the management team to ensure smooth site operations.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports to the Managers.
Conduct quality control inspections of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with standards.
Verify and approve site measurements, completed works, and material deliveries.
Maintain accurate site records including manpower attendance, material usage, and equipment logs.
Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) rules and regulations on site.
Identify potential risks, delays, or technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
Support management in preparing claims, variations, and technical documentation.
Use engineering software (AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera) for planning, scheduling, and reporting.
Job Requirements
Education: Diploma /bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 2–5 years in site supervision/engineering for building construction or mixed-use projects in Ethiopia.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of construction methods and Ethiopian standards.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera.
Core Competencies: Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills; ability to work under pressure and deliver within deadlines.
