General Overview of Position

As a Math Teacher at LionHeart Academy, you will inspire a love for mathematics by delivering engaging, innovative, and challenging lessons. You will guide students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills while fostering confidence in their mathematical abilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Planning:

   • Develop and deliver weekly lesson plans aligned with LionHeart Academy’s curriculum and standards.

   • Create hands-on, inquiry-based activities that promote a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

2. Instructional Delivery:

   • Teach mathematics across various grade levels using clear, interactive, and engaging methods.

   • Incorporate technology, manipulatives, and real-world examples to enhance student learning.

3. Student Development:

   • Monitor and evaluate students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.

   • Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.

4. Assessment and Reporting:

   • Conduct regular quizzes, tests, and projects to assess student understanding.

   • Maintain accurate records of student performance and prepare progress reports.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create interdisciplinary projects that integrate mathematics.

   • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.

6. Classroom Management:

   • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and respect.

   • Manage behavior effectively using LionHeart Academy’s behavior management system.

7. Professional Growth:

   • Stay current with best practices in mathematics education through professional development and collaboration with peers.

• Location: LionHeart Academy, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.

• Teaching certification or equivalent qualifications.

• Experience teaching mathematics at the primary or secondary level.

• Strong instructional and classroom management skills.

• Passion for mathematics and the ability to inspire the same in students.
