Our partner, Alliance Microfinance institution SC is a newly established MFI in Ethiopia  aimed to enhance the socio-economic empowerment of un banked people through accessing digital led financial services. Currently Alliance Microfinance institution would like to hire the following urgent positions in permanent basis.

 The Senior HR Officer is responsible to provide general human resource management support services for the Head and Branch offices. S/he processes recruitment, performance evaluation, training, salary and employee fringe benefit administration, personnel records maintenance and other HR functions of AMFI. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares the HR plan of the company and implements same as per the strategic direction of the company. 

  • Prepares and posts vacancy announcements both internally and/or externally as required. 

  • Assists and conducts employee recruitment and selection processes. 

  • Administers selections, examination, interview and selection of staffs. 

  • Checks references for selected applicants based on the consent of applicants. 

  • Prepares employment contract for permanent and definite period employees. 

  • Follows up the timely evaluation of staff by supervisors and maintain tracking of evaluations for staff

  •  Conducts regular employee satisfaction survey when assigned by the HR and Administration Director. 

  •  Conducts employee training needs assessment, design the training program and follow up its implementations.

  • Conducts employee salary and benefit package survey when assigned by the HR and Administration Director. 

  • Maintains tracking systems for all kinds of leave and preparing plan for yearly annual leave and informs all staffs about their outstanding leave balance and leave schedule yearly. 

  • Maintains up-to-date records of all staffs at all levels of the Company. 

  • Completes all personnel forms required and opens files with all the necessary documents for newly-employed staff. 

  • Participates in the replacement plan of critical jobs in AMFI both at head office and branches. 

  • Participates in the design of human resource information systems for effectiveness and efficiency. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned and required. 

Job Requirements

  • Education: BA/MA degree in Management or HRM or related fields of study

  • Experience: 5/3  years of relevant work experience and out of which minimum of  2 Years’ experience in senior position 

  • Special Training:  Competence in MS Office

  • Proven working experience as Human resource professional

  • Strong professional capabilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
