Job Description
International Clinical Laboratories (ICL) is one of the largest of independent clinical diagnostic centers on the African continent. ICL has opened its door for service in 2004 with the aim of “contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of life throughout Ethiopia” by encompassing a system of human and physical resources designed to meet the changing healthcare needs of the population it serves.
It is the only laboratory accredited by the USA based Joint Commission International (JCI) for five times in a row. The laboratory provides more than 3000 tests in collaboration with its referral laboratories.
ICL would like to fill the following New vacant positions under customer service Department Adam inviting all qualified and competent applicants:
Position Overview: The Satellite Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all activities at the satellite lab location. This role encompasses the management of laboratory personnel, supervision of testing processes, facilitation of customer service, and the establishment of relationships with healthcare providers.

Report to the: Regional - Customer Service Manager
Coordinates and supervises the daily operations of the assigned branch including preparing work schedules for all staff
Act as a focal person under the directives of the Coordinator, identifies problems, plans, coordinates, facilitates all activities as well as reports periodically and gives immediate solutions to operational challenges
Ensure the assigned staff are on duty and provide technical & non-technical support if needed.
Follow and inform required staff of any updated information like discontinuing tests, resume tests, price changes, etc.
Prepare Weekly meetings with all staff within the branch to address action items, roadblocks, and questions for the upcoming weeks
Do performance evaluations of the staff frequently, record all the evaluations and use them as a baseline for semi-annual employee evaluation
Make sure that the working environment is clean properly and the IT equipment (e.g. Printers, barcode reader, scanner, etc.,) are functional, if not contact the responsible body to resolve the issue on time
Perform and Ensure that the cash collected each day is deposited in the bank properly
Submit and Keeps detailed reports of assigned activities weekly, monthly, and as needed to immediate coordinator or manager.
Report each working day’s activities in the morning of the next day to the section coordinator.
Prepare monthly over-time plan and overtime payments on a weekly basis.
Properly manage the stock management and do the balance of usage Vs wastage of supplies and materials of the CSC
Provide support when clients have an urgent complaint during the time-of-service provision. Address customer complaints and report on time.
Record, compile & send every accident and incident that occurred in the Branch using the occurrence report form and report to the CQA department.
Monthly meeting with managers and coordinators to discuss overall activities of the laboratory (branch)
Assess the overall workflow on the CSC, know our regular customers, and the most requested tests in the assigned PSC.
Enter patient data, collect cash, collect samples and serve the customers in the absence of the receptionist and sample collectors.
Follow the proper procedure during refund. Fill out the refund form with the customer signing on the form, collect a copy of the customer’s ID, and make sure that the sample is dropped, and NA is recorded in the data entry.
Qualification and Experience:
BSC Degree in Medical Laboratory Science
Minimum of one-year experience at least on a supervisor level and with renewed license
Having a training document or working experience on Marketing is advantageous.

Computer literate and basic office software skills
Competent phlebotomy and sample collection skills
Excellent communication and listening skills in addition able using positive language
Attentiveness, conflict resolution, and problem-solving ability
Strong time management skills
Solid coordination and supervision capability
Good leadership and teamwork ethic
Willingness to improve and motivated for self-development
Proficient in Amharic, English, and Afan Oromo Languages.
