Position Summary: The Receptionist & Cashier will be the first point of contact for clients, handling front desk responsibilities with professionalism and efficiency. This role involves welcoming and assisting visitors, managing phone calls, handling client correspondence, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth daily office operations. In addition, the position requires responsibility for cash handling, including processing payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate financial records.

The Operations Manager will oversee the operational and regulatory aspects of the organization, with a strong emphasis on importation processes for hearing aid materials and devices. The role requires a licensed pharmacist who will act as the liaison with the Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority (EFDA) and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Beyond regulatory oversight, the Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, and supporting business growth. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Regulatory & Compliance 

• Act as the licensed pharmacist for the company, ensuring all importation and distribution activities comply with EFDA regulations. 

• Maintain smooth communication with EFDA and other relevant government bodies.

 • Ensure that all documentation related to imports is accurate, complete, and compliant. 

• Monitor and report on regulatory and legislative developments that may impact the industry. 

2. Importation & Operations Management

 • Oversee the importation process of hearing aid materials and devices, including coordination with Ethiopian Single Window systems.

 • Track, manage, and follow up on shipments to ensure timely delivery. 

• Coordinate with logistics partners, suppliers, and international clients. 

3. Organizational Support & Management

 • Support the daily operations of the company while imports are in process, ensuring no downtime in contribution.

 • Develop and implement operational processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness. 

• Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure smooth service delivery to clients. 

• Act as representatives and liaison for the company in any engagement with EFDA.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with a valid Pharmacist License in Ethiopia (mandatory). 

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in operations, regulatory affairs, or pharmaceutical importation. 

• Knowledge of Ethiopian regulatory frameworks, including EFDA requirements and Ethiopian Single Window processes. 

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Amharic and English.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team. 

• Experience in managing international client relations is an advantage
