Buusaa Gonofaa Micro finance (BG MFI) is a non-bank profit making financial institution licensed under Proclamation No 40/1996 and is supervised by the National Bank of Ethiopia. Currently BG want to fill the Internal Auditor vacant position with a suitable candidate. 

The Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Institution data network in order to provide maximum performance and availability for the system users. He/she is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining and supporting LAN and WAN and infrastructures at all Branches. He/she also provides high-level technical support for data network systems; creates and maintains network documentation; maintains hardware and software standards; and works projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and implements network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware;

• Plans, designs, and coordinates the various components of an enterprise network system;

• Designs and configures an enterprise environment with appropriate hardware, operating systems software, applications software, and communications components to support business requirements. Evaluates and recommends network software and hardware for the enterprise system;

• Evaluates server and other peripheral Hardware;

• Installs, configures and manages network operating system;

• Maintains and administers computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations;

• Supervises computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists;

• Monitors network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determines where changes will need to be made;

• Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Manager, Information Systems Dept.

Job Requirements

V. Educational Qualification and Experience:

• Level of education: Level IV/ BA Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology & a related field.

• Experience: 5/3 years’ experience 

VI. Technical Skills & Competency

• Strong knowledge of network protocol (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, etc).

• Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, firewalls, switches, access points).

• Knowledge of server administration (windows/Linux) and active direction.

• Skill to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN and wireless networks.
