Job Description
Job Objective: Shabelle Bank is seeking a competent Senior Credit Review Officer to support the Bank’s credit risk management function through the effective review, assessment, and monitoring of loan portfolios across all branches.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To identify gaps in underwriting, approval, monitoring, relationship management and credit administration activities.
Provide assistance and consultation to lending and credit personnel, auditors, and regulatory examiners.
Ensure consistent application of firm-wide Risk Policy Credit Review policies and procedures.
Identify loans with potential credit weakness and any relevant trends that may affect collectability.
Develop, implement, and oversee ongoing risk-based credit review programs for all Shabelle Bank loan portfolios.
To identify existing and/or emerging issues relating to credit quality and risk.
To identify portfolio concentrations.
Prepare risk assessment and comprehensive loan review report for both financial and non-financial activities and submit to the Risk and Compliance division manager.
Job Requirements
Master’s Degree/BA Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting or other business-related fields
with 3/5 years of banking experience respectively, of which 2 years as Credit Review Officer.
