Responsible for coordinating all aspects of daily operations, communications for daily routes/runs and cancellations, ensuring safe and efficient operations of the transit system including vehicles, employees, clients and contractors, managing funding opportunities and liaising with government departments as appropriate

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary dispatcher of transit / custom clearance operations by answering phone calls/emails, scheduling daily operations coordinating accordingly

• Manage all day-to-day activities relating to customs operations.

• Establish good working relationships with all staff and Government offices.

• Determine and report to the Department on staffing requirements for service delivery on a timely basis

• Manage and comply with all relevant customs rules and regulations.

• Maintain a solvent financial future by seeking new funding sources, managing annual appropriations and pursuing grant opportunities

• Act as designated intake person for other municipal programs and services as assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• MA/BA Degree in procurement and supply chain management, Logistic Management, Business Administration or in equivalent business fields with a minimum of 05 years work experience.

• Familiar With Customs proclamation, rule and Regulations 

• Able to provide good leadership, planning, and organizational skills.

• Efficiently Performed Customs Assessment task.
