Job Description

The System Administrator will support the IT department in managing the organization’s IT infrastructure and providing first-level technical support to both internal staff and external customers. The role ensures smooth IT operations, assists in system monitoring and troubleshooting, and contributes to delivering reliable technology services to the company and its platform users.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor system and network performance, proactively identifying issues and troubleshooting connectivity problems (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, internet). 

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical support, assisting internal staff and external customers with a wide range of hardware, software, and application issues.

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and software.

  • Assist in managing user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, performing system upgrades, and participating in migration projects.

  • Report incidents and escalate complex problems to senior IT staff when necessary.

  • Support system security through regular updates, patch management, and backups. 

  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain security measures.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, IT processes, and user support procedures. 

  • Keep an updated inventory of all IT assets.

  • Ensure all IT service requests are logged, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on various IT tools and applications to enhance their productivity.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3 years and above relevant experience in the position.

  • Prior experience in technical support or helpdesk roles.

  • Familiarity with ticketing/helpdesk systems.

  • Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Experience with network protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.

  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

  • Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in system administration tools and software (e.g., Active Directory, Office 365).

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
