Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collecting payments via cash, credit/debit cards, checks, or other methods.

  • Issuing receipts, refunds, change, coupons, or tickets accurately.

  • Bagging, boxing, or gift-wrapping purchased items carefully.

  • Processing returns, exchanges, and handling customer complaints or inquiries.

  • Keeping the checkout area clean and organized.

  • Tracking and reconciling transactions, reporting any discrepancies.

  • Redeeming stamps, coupons, and assisting with promotions or upselling products.

  • Assisting with restocking shelves and maintaining product availability.

  • Maintaining knowledge of store products and policies to answer customer questions effectively.
