Job Description

We are looking for a Bakery Supervisor / Operational Assistant to oversee daily bakery operations and support management in tracking performance, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

This role combines operations management, staff supervision, and reporting, ensuring the bakery runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Daily Supervision

  • Arrive early to ensure smooth opening of the bakery.

  • Verify that all equipment (ovens, mixers, fridges, etc.) is clean, functional, and ready for use.

  • Ensure baked goods are neatly presented and ready for sale or stocking.

2. Sales & Expense Monitoring

  • Track and record daily sales, unsold items, and customer demand.

  • Compare ingredient usage against remaining stock.

  • Record daily income and expenses, including payment methods.

  • Identify and report cash or sales discrepancies immediately.

3. Ingredient & Stock Management

  • Check stock levels at the start of each day (flour, sugar, butter, eggs, etc.).

  • Monitor incoming supplies and follow up on shortages.

  • Ensure expired or spoiled items are removed and not used.

4. Cleanliness & Hygiene

  • Monitor and enforce food safety and hygiene standards throughout the day.

  • Ensure all staff follow protocols (e.g., gloves, hairnets, clean uniforms).

  • Supervise cleaning routines in the kitchen, front shop, and storage areas.

5. Staff Management

  • Supervise staff attendance, roles, and performance.

  • Report issues such as absences, delays, or conflicts.

  • Ensure customer interactions are professional and welcoming.

  • Recommend improvements in staffing or workflow.

6. Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare daily Excel reports covering sales, expenses, stock levels, and issues.

  • Submit weekly and monthly summary reports to management.

  • Meet with management to present data, highlight challenges, and propose solutions.

  • Assist with basic administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Job Requirements:

Skills & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Hospitality, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in retail, food service, bakery operations, or a supervisory role.

  • Basic to good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Formulas, Tables).

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to report clearly

  • Trustworthy, energetic, and able to work under pressure.

  • Lives near Ayat, Summit, Arabsa, or Ayat 49 areas (preferred).
