Deborah Specialized Pediatric Clinic is a trusted center dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare for children. We combine clinical expertise with a family-centered approach to ensure safe and effective treatment outcomes for every patient.

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Social Worker to join our team. The Social Worker will be responsible for identifying economically vulnerable patients and families, assessing their social and financial circumstances, and facilitating discounts or financial assistance programs to ensure fair and equitable access to healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess vulnerable and economically disadvantaged families.

  • Evaluate patients’ financial status and recommend appropriate discount levels or assistance programs.

  • Develop and implement transparent, equitable criteria for discount allocation in coordination with clinic management.

  • Collaborate with the administrative and finance teams to process approved discounts efficiently. 

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments, decisions, and follow-ups. 

  • Provide counseling and support to families struggling with social or economic challenges. 

  • Connect families with community resources and support programs when needed.

  • Participate in outreach programs and community engagement initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

  • 0 -1 year of experience working in pediatric, hospital, or clinical settings preferred.

  • Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Salary 

  • Gross salary - ETB 8,000
