Key Roles and Responsibilities

The Production Supervisor's duties cover daily operations, quality, efficiency, people management, and compliance:

• Daily Production Oversight:

  • Ensure the production process runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet targets and adjust as needed (planning and adjusting cascaded production schedules).

  • Complete production forms, maintain records, and input data into relevant systems (document production).

• Quality and Efficiency:

  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet standards and verify production output (monitor quality).

  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, minimize downtime, and increase productivity (optimizing efficiency).

• Team and Staff Management:

  • Coordinate activities, delegate tasks, and provide guidance to production workers (supervise and guide employees).

  • Onboard new employees, provide ongoing training, and coach team members to improve performance (train and develop staff).

  • Track employee performance, provide feedback, conduct evaluations, and handle performance-related issues (monitor performance).

  • Resolve workplace issues and conflicts professionally (address conflicts).

  • Collaborate with other departments like engineering, maintenance, and HR to troubleshoot problems and coordinate activities (liaise with other departments).

• Maintenance and Compliance:

  • Enforce safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment (ensure safety).

  • Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (enforce policies).

  • Schedule regular maintenance and ensure all machinery is functioning correctly and safely (maintain equipment).

  • Stay up-to-date on and ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and company regulations (ensure regulatory compliance).

  • Communicate production metrics, performance data, and any issues or challenges to the immediate management (report to management).

  • Coordinate with the supply chain, monitor stock levels, and ensure materials are available (managing inventory).

Job Requirements

Experience, and Knowledge

• Qualification: MSc/BSc in food science, food technology, industrial/applied chemistry, chemical engineering, and related fields.

  Work Experience: Minimum four/six years relevant work experience.

• Required Knowledge and Skill:

  Technical skill in the refinery of crude palm oil (CPO), crude soft oil, and palm oil fractionation process.

  • Knowledge of refinery process optimization (mandatory requirement).

  • Supervisory skill
