Identify and develop new lending opportunities through existing and prospective clients.
Assess clients’ financial status and creditworthiness.
Collect and analyze loan applicants’ financial information.
Explain different types of loans and credit options to clients.
Process loan applications and documentation according to policy.
Credit Evaluation:
Evaluate credit risk and make lending decisions within approved authority.
Recommend loan approval, denial, or counteroffers based on assessment.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Customer Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Provide personalized financial advice to meet client needs.
Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and adheres to regulatory and audit standards.
Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes and implement them accordingly.
Team Leadership & Mentoring:
Support and mentor junior loan officers and lending staff.
Lead by example in achieving loan and service targets.
Participate in staff training and development initiatives.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
Relevant certifications in lending or credit analysis (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in consumer or commercial lending, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in Microfinance.
Proven experience in meeting or exceeding loan targets.
Skills & Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of loan products and underwriting procedures.
Strong financial and credit analysis skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in loan processing software and MS Office Suite.
