Job Description

ZAMG Business Plc is a multisectoral company. One of its companies; a Dairy Processing Company, is currently dedicated to producing high-quality pasteurized milk and dairy products that meet national and international food safety standards. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee our milk processing operations and ensure efficient, hygienic, and cost-effective production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily milk processing and packaging operations to meet production targets.

  • Plan, organize, and control production operations to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.

  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and ISO 22000 food safety standards.

  • Oversee raw milk reception, pasteurization, homogenization, packaging, and storage processes.

  • Manage production schedules, optimize manpower, and monitor equipment performance.

  • Implement and monitor CIP procedures to ensure plant hygiene.

  • Track and analyze production data, efficiency, and product yield; report regularly to management.

  • Lead and train production staff to maintain safety, hygiene, and productivity standards.

  • Drive and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce losses and improve product quality, production efficiency and product consistency.

  • Support new product development and process innovation within the dairy line.

  • Manage raw material utilization, minimize waste, and ensure optimal efficiency of machinery and labor.

  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain departments to ensure smooth operations.

  • Monitor production KPIs, analyze performance, and prepare regular reports for management.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc degree in Food Science & Nutrition, Food Science & Post Harvesting Technology, Food Science & Technology or Food Engineering.

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in Food processing at a supervisory or managerial level. A dairy industry experience is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with ISO 22000, HACCP, and quality assurance systems.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and production management software is an added advantage.
