Work Unit:  No 3 Pharmacy

Reports to:  pharmacy Head

 Salary:As per the company scale

Emplyment type: Full time

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Sorts, classifies, lables and shelves essential drugs of the outlet

  2. Dispenses essential drugs according to prescriptions;

  3. Preserves drug stock of the outlet against deterioration;

  4. Keeps dispensed prescriptions documented and preserved;

  5. Weighs and measures drugs and fills bottles or other containers according to instructions of superior;

  6. Prepaes and affixes lables with instructions for administering the drugs;

  7. Keeps prescriptions and special drugs locked;

  8. Performs various clerical activities relating to drugs locked;

  9. Preserves temperature sensitivities drugs in a refrigerator and regulary takes temperature measures of the same;

  10. Advises the users on how to take or apply the drugs;

  11. Performs other related duties and resposibilities of the job as assigned by the pharmacy Head.

Job Requirements

  • Degree/ College Diploma as a Pharmacist / Druggist or TVET diploma in Pharmacy Technology and  2 year

  • Certificate as a Nurse/ Health Assistant and 2 years work exprience in drug dispensing.
