Job title : Head Health and Safety

Position: Office of the Head Healthy and safety department

Grade Level: 

Reports to: The Office of the Brewery Manager

Supervises: Safety Staff

The responsibility of Healthy and Safety head is to ensure the healthy and safety of all company employees and properties through identify and develop specific environmental, health and safety,(EHS) guidelines relevant to company business.

1. Conduct environmental, health and safety audits and prepare reports.

2. Identify key gap areas on technical and management aspects necessary to achieve zero accident status.

3. Develop and execute appropriate interventions for all categories of employees to address gap areas

4. Develop and conduct specialized training to address the identified gaps in the safety syste

5. Develop appropriate lead indicators to monitor the effectiveness of interventions to achieve desired outcomes.

6. Ensure the provision of information and instruction on health and safety.

7. Guiding and assisting the safety technician on matters of environment, health and safety.

8. Advise managers on safety and needed actions to achive companies goals with respect to EHS.

9. Carry out methodical and scientific accident investigations to identify root causes and initiate appropriate management plan.

10. Proven track record of stable record in multinational and standardized firms.

11. Work with multiple stake holders in delivering needed electrical and shop floor system design and executions

12. .Conduct relevant training modules for staffs that deals with on board technology.

13. Modern, energetic, self taster display initiative and proposes pragmatic new ideas.

14. Place over all standardized safety management and communication system

Job Requirements

Position Requirement

• Academic requirement: MSC/MA/BSC/BA in Engineering/ Management or related fields

• Work experience: 4/6years of experience

Additional Competencies :

• Experience in conducting and training risk assessment, developing safe work procedures, job observation, safety culture, internal audit root cause analysis etc…

• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken English, Afan Oromo and Amharic.

• Good leadership skills, and must be able to spread the science based approach to safety engineering and safety culture across the organization.

• Good learner and willing to innovate and accept new ideas.

• Should have a personal drive and passion to safety
