This role focuses on advancing the institution's research mission, ensuring quality, securing funding, and promoting scholarly output.
Time Commitment: Must devote the majority of time to the requirements of the office, but may handle a limited teaching and research load (i.e., up to six credit hours).
Reports To: The College Dean.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Must have an Assistant professor and above for research director rank.
Experience: At least two years' service in higher education institutions, with an excellent record in the respective area
Specific Responsibilities
Strategy & Quality
Oversees the quality of research and technology transfer in the college. Selects thematic areas for research and develops the college's research strategy. Supervises the implementation of quality assurance measures in research activities.
Funding & Proposals
Calls for research proposals and journal articles. Announces research calls, assigns evaluators, and awards research grants, prioritizing those incorporating graduate students. Follows up on funded/granted researches/projects to ensure timely completion. Initiates research projects and grant writings for staff and graduate students.
Graduate Students
Prepares a standard, framework, guidelines, and strategies for graduate students on how to write projects/researches and business plans. Follows up with graduate students to ensure research finalization on the given time-frame.
Dissemination
Leads quarterly research seminars and annual research conferences, ensuring active participation of graduate students and staff. Plans, implements, and publishes research works and compiles better practices for dissemination.
Collaboration
Collaborates on research and technology transfer activities with other organizations. Oversees and facilitates the smooth functioning of research-related committees.
Reporting
Prepares periodic performance reports of the Research and Technology Transfer core processes, including budget utilization, and submits reports to the College Dean and President.
Both Directors are expected to adhere to the high-level professional standards and possess the following general characteristics, as implied by the college's original coordinator role:
Accountability: Accountable to the College Dean.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have a high academic rank, at least two years' service in higher education, and an excellent record in the relevant field.
Core Skills: Proven record of leadership qualities, ability to work effectively in a culture built around transparency, consensus building, and a team approach to management.
Knowledge: Must have an understanding of national and international educational trends, issues, and policies impacting the college's business process.
