A senior cost and budget accountant is responsible for managing an organization's cost accounting systems and budgets, which includes developing budgets, analyzing costs, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Key duties involve analyzing variances, working with production to monitor material costs, and providing financial guidance to management. This role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and several years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting, often in a manufacturing environment.

Required quantity:- 01 Salary:- as per company scale Key role and responsibility:-

• Budgeting and forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, prepare monthly/quarterly

forecasts, and conduct scenario analysis.

• Cost analysis: Analyze operational costs, set standard costs for manufactured goods, and review variances between standard and actual costs.

• Financial reporting: Prepare management reports on budget performance, cost variances, and financial trends.

• Process improvement: Identify cost inefficiencies and recommend improvements to accounting and budgeting processes.

• Compliance and auditing: Assist with internal and external audits, ensure compliance with accounting standards (like GAAP or IFRS), and maintain financial records.

• Inventory management: Monitor and reconcile inventory levels, including raw materials and finished goods.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Typically requires 4-5 or more years of relevant experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis, specifically in manufacturing industry.

• Technical skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (like SAP) and advanced Excel skills, such as pivot tables and financial modeling.

• Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various departments.
