The Senior Video Editor leads the visual storytelling process by transforming raw footage, audio, and graphics into compelling digital videos for news, features, and editorial content. The role requires creativity, technical precision, and collaboration with content creators and the digital manager to ensure consistent branding and storytelling quality across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble raw video, sound, and graphics into polished final products for daily news, features, and special programs.

• Collaborate with content creators and the digital team to align scripts, voiceovers, and visuals.

• Develop intro, outro, and transition templates for recurring video formats (daily news, weekly recap, podcast, OP/ED).

• Ensure all videos meet newsroom standards for tone, accuracy, and branding.

• Perform color correction, sound mixing, and motion graphics as needed.

• Manage and organize digital assets in shared cloud storage.

• Review and mentor entry-level editors or interns on editing best practices.

• Support live streaming or field recording when required.

• Work closely with the Digital Manager on optimization for platforms (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, X).

Job Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a video editor, ideally in a newsroom or media production environment.

• Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.

• Understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.

• Familiarity with social media video standards and aspect ratios.

• Strong time management and communication skills.

• Creative problem-solving under tight deadlines.
