The Early Years Coordinator plays a key leadership role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education from Reception 1 to Year 1. The coordinator will oversee curriculum implementation, teacher development, and the overall learning environment to ensure that the Early Years program reflects the school’s vision, values, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional leadership and pedagogical guidance to Early Years teachers.

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and assessment of the Early Years curriculum in line with Pearson standards.

  • Support teachers in developing engaging, play-based, and inquiry-driven learning experiences.

  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that promotes children’s holistic development.

  • Coordinate regular team meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions.

  • Monitor and evaluate teaching quality and student progress through classroom observations and data review.

  • Work closely with the school leadership team to align Early Years goals with the whole-school strategy.

  • Support communication between teachers and parents, ensuring positive relationships and transparent reporting.

  • Organize and oversee Early Years events, celebrations, and community engagement activities.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school policies and safeguarding standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Early Years, including at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role.

  • Strong understanding of the Pearson or other international early years curriculum.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and support a team of teachers.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Passionate about fostering a child-centered, inclusive, and inquiry-based learning environment.
