Addis Standard, one of Ethiopia’s leading independent media outlets, is expanding its multimedia production capacity. We are looking for creative and passionate professionals to join our growing digital and studio production team.

The Intern Cameraman will support field and studio production, assisting in video recording, lighting setup, and basic editing. The intern should have hands-on experience in camera operation and post-production software and will also assist in creating multimedia assets and AI-assisted voice overs under supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture high-quality video footage for news, podcasts, and social media content.

• Assist in studio lighting, sound, and camera setup.

• Edit short videos and social clips for Addis Standard’s digital platforms.

• Work closely with content creators to collect multimedia assets and assist in AI-generated voiceover creation.

• Support editors in preparing visuals for livestreams and podcasts.

• Maintain and organize camera and production equipment.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Film, Journalism, Communication, or related fields.

• Basic experience in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve).

• Understanding of framing, lighting, and camera operation.

• Interest in AI tools for multimedia production (voiceover, captioning, or automation).

• Eagerness to learn and passion for visual storytelling.

• Strong teamwork and time management skills.
