Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment in industrial facilities to ensure they are functional and meet safety codes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• ·  Installation: Install and repair electrical wiring, conduits, lighting, and control Systems according to blueprints and schematics.

• ·  Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical systems   and equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and motors.

• ·  Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues with industrial electrical and   electronic control systems, including PLCs, sensors, and variable frequency drives  (VFDs).

• ·  Testing: Test electrical systems and components to ensure they are operating safely  and efficiently.

• ·  Collaboration: Work with other electricians and tradespeople to complete projects  and troubleshoot complex problems.

• ·  Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure all work complies with local and national codes and safety procedures

Job Requirements

Qualifications Required 

Education

• BA in Electrical/ Advance diploma in Electricity  field of study

Experience

• 2 years for BA or 6 years for Advance diploma, relevant work experience in manufacturing Industry.
