We are seeking an experienced ICT Teacher to deliver engaging and effective ICT instruction to primary school students, fostering their academic growth, creativity, and confidence. The teacher will play a key role in shaping young minds and contributing to the school’s mission of excellence and inclusion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Core Teaching Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in computer literacy, digital skills, and basic programming

• Teach students how to use essential software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet tools

• Introduce students to foundational concepts in coding, digital citizenship, and online safety

• Use interactive and project-based learning methods to develop students’ problem-solving and technical skills

• Assess student progress through practical assignments, digital projects, and quizzes

• Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their ICT competencies

• Integrate technology into teaching practices and encourage responsible use of digital tools

Classroom & Student Management

• Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect

• Maintain discipline and positive behavior through consistent routines and expectations

• Track attendance and academic records accurately and confidentially

• Identify students with special learning needs and collaborate on individualized support plans

Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and concerns

• Work closely with fellow teachers and school staff to support cross-curricular learning

• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities

• Contribute to a positive school culture by modeling professionalism and enthusiasm

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• BA Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or ICT Education, or a Diploma in ICT or a related technical field

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience in ICT instruction

• Prior experience teaching ICT in private schools is an advantage

• Strong understanding of active learning strategies and ability to tailor instruction to different student skill levels

• Demonstrated experience in using digital tools and platforms to support teaching and learning

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other educational or productivity software

• Experience in managing computer labs, facilitating project-based learning, and supporting co-curricular tech activities

• Familiarity with basic coding, internet safety, and digital citizenship concepts appropriate for the learners’ age group
