Duties and Responsibilities
4.1 Main Objectives
Reporting to the Entity QHSE Manager to assist on assignments and actions
Provide Q-HSE hands on support to the other departments
Check on Q-HSE compliance between the assigned sites and departments
Continuously implement improvements the Q-HSE processes and practices
4.2 Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Assist Entity QHSE Manager on Safety and Security issues were delegated to
Implement HSE internal rules and standards, ensuring that they comply:
the local and international regulations,
the corporate standards
and our clients’ requirements.
Carries out QHSE inductions for new employees, visitors and subcontractors.
Follow-up of action plans related to HSE issues
Monitoring the various projects and sites and Contractor/ subcontractor activities.
Check that equipment are correctly used as well as their certifications in accordance with Africa Q-HSE standards.
Carry out Risk Assessment Process is done for all non-standard and critical operations
Follow up and analysis of statistics, health and safety reports
Participate and deliver HSE monthly meetings
Attend the HSE Committees
Support of all required data are locally followed up and transmitted to the Africa Q-HSE dept. in the absence of the QHSE Manager.
Help implementation of HSE Management system, in accordance with the Africa Q-HSE Management standards
Carry out daily on-site audits and inspections as required on HSE procedures,
Weekly for the site tours (minima)
Assessment of the Q-HSE management system continuously.
Create HSE awareness and trainings /refreshing schedule,
Carry Out Job Safety Analysis for all operations,
Generate and check work permits compliance,
Perform Incident/accident investigations, correctives action plan implementation and follow up,
Implement and maintain all HSE signage & tags
Implement toolbox meetings
Manage all firefighting equipment
Tests (weekly and monthly)
Records
Implement the Waste management plan and follow up its implementation and respect
Assist and follow up of HSE indicators
Required monthly by the Q-HSE dept.
Required by the entity and departments
Execute all necessary actions related to HSE issues or asked by Top Management.
4.2.2 QUALITY /Mains tasks and responsibilities details
Monitor the improvement issues in the Quality field and propose solutions to better monitor the processes.
Follow-up and support Quality measures, correction of non-compliance and improvement action plan implementation.
Assist the QHSE Manager and departmental teams for the definition and the implementation of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI);
Prepare daily QHSE occurrence reports
Participate Quality monthly meeting with the Quality Committee members to monitor the Quality in the entity
Assist processes review at least every 6 months
Communicate with the operational staff
Confirm the respect of the procedures on site
Participate in the meetings between departments
Audit the quality of the services of the subcontractors and control of the servicing processes
Support the quality policy implementation.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required in Occupational health or Environmental health and Science.
3 plus years of progressive QHSE experience.
Advanced skill set with IT applications.
Certification of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various regulatory Practices.
Ability to write reports, internal procedures, performance reviews, training programs and presentations.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other departments; customers; clients; guests and regulators.
