The Filler Operator is responsible for efficiently operating and maintaining filling machinery to ensure accurate, high-quality production. This role requires adherence to strict safety and hygiene standards, keen attention to detail for product quality, and proactive collaboration with team members to consistently meet production targets and maintain line efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and precisely adjust filling machines to ensure smooth, continuous production flow.

• Set up, calibrate, and perform changeovers on machinery for various product types and container sizes.

• Conduct regular quality checks to verify correct fill levels, proper sealing integrity, accurate labeling, and identification of packaging defects.

• Execute routine cleaning, sanitization, and minor maintenance tasks to proactively minimize unplanned downtime.

• Accurately record and document all essential production data, downtime events, and quality control results.

• Strictly adhere to and enforce all hygiene, safety, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures at all times.

• Collaborate with other line operators, mechanics, and quality inspectors to quickly identify and resolve operational issues.

• Proactively suggest and implement improvements to optimize production efficiency and enhance overall product quality.

Technical Skills:

• Machine operation and adjusting assigned high-speed filling machinery.

• Basic understanding of mechanical drive systems, gears, product valves, conveyors, and pneumatic controls.

• Competence in utilizing quality tools (e.g., scales, gauges) to ensure correct fill levels, proper sealing, and accurate labeling.

• Ability to adjust and calibrate machinery parameters for precise volume filling and different container formats.

• Performing basic cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance to ensure continuous uptime.

• Familiarity with batch coding, product changeover procedures, and metrics used to optimize line efficiency.

• Disciplined adherence to hygiene standards, workplace safety, and mandatory LOTO procedures.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

• Systematically identifies and resolves common operational issues related to filling, capping, packaging, or equipment performance.

• Maintains consistency in product weight, volume, and packaging quality under high-volume conditions.

• Ensures precise recording of all production output, downtime reasons, and quality control findings.

• Investigates recurring minor equipment or process failures to implement preventative solutions.

• Ability to propose and execute minor operational changes aimed at improving efficiency and reducing waste.

Soft Skills:

• Collaborates effectively with fellow operators, maintenance staff, and quality inspectors to maintain line flow (Teamwork).

• Clearly reports equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or process deviations to supervisors and support teams (Communication).

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in filler operation or a similar high-speed production role is preferred.

• Ability to work efficiently in a high-speed production environment.
