Job Description

The Junior Accountant at Canopy Hotel will support the accounting team in managing financial transactions and reporting. This full-time position, suitable for candidates with 1-3 years of experience, requires working in an office environment in Addis Ababa. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Junior Accountant will play a vital role in the efficient operation of the hotel's financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.

  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Prepare and submit tax documents in compliance with regulations.

  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.

  • Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes.

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial information.

  • Participate in audits and ensure timely completion of required documentation.

Job Requirements
