The Principal at Flipper International School PLC will lead the educational institution in Addis Ababa, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education in a supportive environment. This full-time role involves overseeing academic programs, managing staff, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Principal will work from the office to implement school policies, engage with the community, and promote student success.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement educational programs that align with the school's vision and mission.

• Manage daily operations of the school, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.

• Supervise and evaluate teaching staff to promote professional development and academic excellence.

• Lead the school in strategic planning and decision-making processes.

• Engage with parents, students, and the community to foster strong relationships and support for school initiatives.

• Monitor student performance and implement interventions to enhance learning outcomes.

• Ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations.

• Oversee budgeting and resource allocation to support educational programs.

• Coordinate staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

• A Master’s degree (or higher) in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Certification or training in School Leadership and Management (e.g., Cambridge certifications is highly desirable.

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in education, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role (Principal, Vice Principal, or Head of Department).

• Proven experience managing a Cambridge International Curriculum (Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, AS & A Level).

• Demonstrated success in school improvement, curriculum implementation, and teacher development.

Desired Skills:

• Deliver engaging presentations to staff, students, and stakeholders.

• Utilize effective public speaking skills to represent the school in various forums.

• Create visual materials that effectively communicate the school's mission and achievements.

• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance staff capabilities.
