Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners) is a privately-owned international multidisciplinary consulting organization in engineering, architecture, planning ,environment, project and construction management, facilities management and economics, founded in 1956, its principal design head office and technical support facilities are located in Beirut, Lebanon; Cairo, Egypt; London, UK; Pune, India; and Amman, Jordan; with a network of 54 permanent local branch offices throughout the Middle East, Africa Asia and Europe of which 23 are on the African continent.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for HR department in all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and HR policy implementation. This role requires a professional with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process.

  • Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR databases.

  • Support performance appraisal and talent management activities.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.

  • Handle employee relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary issues.

  • Initiate training and development initiatives for good performers.

  • Prepare HR reports and participate in HR planning and budgeting.

  • Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.

  • Monthly reporting on human resources utilizations to the management for timely decision making

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field 

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in an international organization.

  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor law and HR best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience in using Microsoft Dynamic 365 software is a plus
