Duties & Responsibilities:

Teaching & Curriculum Development

  • Deliver engaging and student-centered lessons in Economics and Business Studies aligned with the Ethiopian National Curriculum

  • Enrich the curriculum with global best practices, fostering analytical thinking and real-world application

  • Design lesson plans, assessments, and learning activities that promote critical thinking, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial mindset

  • Use diverse teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities

 Student Development & Mentorship

  • Serve as a mentor and role model, inspiring girls to pursue academic excellence and personal growth

  • Support students in developing leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

  • Provide individualized academic support and guidance to help students reach their full potential

  • Encourage participation in clubs, competitions, and community projects related to economics and business

School Culture & Collaboration

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment

  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning and holistic education

  • Participate actively in staff development, school events, and strategic planning

  • Uphold the school’s core values of empowerment, integrity, and excellence

Administrative & Reporting Duties

  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress

  • Prepare regular reports and contribute to the school’s academic monitoring and evaluation systems

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Business Studies, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience at the secondary school level.

  • Strong command of the Ethiopian National Curriculum and ability to deliver it effectively.

  • Excellent classroom management and student engagement techniques.

  • Proven ability to foster critical thinking, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Commitment to girls’ education, empowerment, and holistic development.

  • High standards of professional integrity, punctuality, and team collaboration.
