Quarry Foremen are tasked with a variety of duties geared towards the extraction, processing, and safety of quarry operations. They are responsible for ensuring that quarries, pits and opencast sites operate successfully. They oversee all operations, both on site and in the office, manage staff, coordinate production and monitor all site systems.

Duties and Responsibilites:

Their primary responsibilities include:

• oversee & Operating heavy machinery and equipment such as drills, crushers, and excavators to extract materials.

• Monitoring the structural integrity of the quarry and its compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

• Managing the detonation and blasting of rock faces and ensuring the safe and compliant use of explosives.

• Conducting routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality and minimal downtime.

• Assessing the quality of quarried materials and making adjustments to extraction techniques as necessary.

• Collaborating with geological engineers and other specialists to evaluate quarry reserves and plan future extraction activities.

• Adhering to and promoting safe work practices and environmental policies.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Advanced Diploma or Diploma or Technic School graduate in relevant field of study with a minimum of 5 & Above years' experience in road construction projects with a special emphasis on quarry works

• Experience: 5 - 10 years of working experience in road construction projects with a special emphasis on quarry works
