Job Description
Store keepers take stock of inventory, manage the store layout, supervise staff and keep records of sales.
Duties & Responsibilities
Receiving and inspecting all incoming materials and reconciling with purchase orders.
Tracking inventory and maintaining accurate records using inventory management software.
Ensuring the accuracy of the facility's inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns.
Managing and training store staff.
Planning promotional campaigns for new products or specials.
Keeping the store clean and organized.
Mediating any confrontations between staff and clients, and de-escalating the situation.
Conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Job Requirements
Diploma in a related field with relevant work experience in store-keeping.
4-7 years of experience in similar role.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Organizational skills to manage goods and materials efficiently.
Good communication skills for interactions with suppliers, staff, and customers.
Basic computer skills, particularly with inventory software.
Ability to maintain accurate records of stock levels and inventory control.
Physical capability to handle warehouse activities.
Knowledge of proper stock management and storage.
Understanding of budget management for store operations.
