Job Description
Senior System administrators are responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer and network systems, servers, workstations and peripheral devices. They may acquire, install, or upgrade computer components and software; automate routine tasks; write computer programs; troubleshoot; train and supervise staff; and provide technical support. They ensure optimum system integrity, security, backup and performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments.
Provide high-level troubleshooting and technical support for infrastructure issues across the organization.
Monitor system performance and security to ensure high availability and reliability of critical systems.
Lead system upgrades, migrations, and patches with minimal downtime and user impact.
Implement and maintain robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
Manage and optimize virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Oversee the configuration and management of enterprise-level databases, networks, and security tools.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or in a related field of study
Experience: 6 Years’ experience in design, implement, maintain and managing enterprise-level systems and networks
