Job Description
ATTA Trading PLC is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Company Manager to work closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This individual will serve as a strategic and operational assistant, particularly in managing projects and business operations within the construction and infrastructure sub-sector.
The ideal candidate should hold a PhD and have a strong background in engineering, project management, or construction business administration.

A. Executive Assistant to the CEO
Support the CEO in executing strategic plans, managing company-wide initiatives, and overseeing construction-related business activities.
Draft reports, project updates, policy briefs, and presentation materials for internal and external use.
Represent the CEO in high-level meetings, site visits, and negotiations when required.
Monitor executive priorities and track the progress of tasks delegated by the CEO.
Supervise and coordinate ongoing construction projects, including site development, procurement, budgeting, and subcontractor performance.
Ensure construction projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety and legal standards.
Liaise with engineers, architects, project managers, and suppliers.
Review technical drawings, BOQs, project timelines, and payment certificates.
Oversee operational efficiency across departments (procurement, logistics, finance, HR).
Ensure alignment between departments and the construction project pipeline.
Implement internal controls, monitor compliance, and provide solutions to operational bottlenecks.
Lead the preparation of construction business proposals and project bidding documents.
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian construction laws, labor regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Monitor and assess risks in contracts, logistics, and project execution, providing mitigation strategies.
Serve as a central point of contact between the CEO and internal teams, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders.
Coordinate internal planning sessions and reporting cycles across departments.
Maintain professional relationships with government offices, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Monitor company KPIs and construction-specific performance indicators (timelines, budgets, quality).
Prepare regular reports on project status, resource allocation, cash flow, and progress to the CEO.
Contribute to long-term planning and strategic development.
PhD in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 2–3 years of senior management experience, including direct work with construction firms or infrastructure projects.
Proven ability to manage large teams and multi-million birr construction projects.
Advanced knowledge of project management software (Primavera, MS Project) and ERP systems.
Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
Fluent in Amharic and English.
