To control, direct and co-ordinate all members of the project team, to ensure that all aspects of the project are successfully planned, executed & completed. Responsible for planning and delivering the project. Their primary role is to ensure the project is completed within time and budget.

The ideal candidate shall have international experience/or worked with international companies here in Ethiopi,– or must have a proven track record of the successful management of an end-to-end project execution.

The ideal candidate should specialize in road construction, mainly in Asphalt Road projects and bridges with extensive practical experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that each stage of the project is being executed on time and within budget.

• Direct and supervise the development of the project.

• Selecting and leading the project team.

• Ensure compliance with standards set by the organization for program/project management.

• Organize logistics and procurement for the project.

• Mediate with clients and consultants.

• Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.

• Identify and manage risks in order to maximize benefits for all stakeholders of the project.

• Will organize, direct, coordinate and motivate the project team members.

• Will plan and establish the work breakdown structure and budget in accordance with estimates for cost control.

• Will ensure that procurement schedules for both material and sub-contractors are planned, scheduled and maintained.

• Will continually improve the work process and the output of the project team.

• Will control and direct all subcontractors to ensure the execution and quality of their obligation.

• Will prepare weekly and monthly status reports of the project for the client representative.

• Will optimize and implement manpower management, SAFETY policies and procedures.

• Will ensure compliance with the stated quality control and requirements of the project.

• Will ensure adherence to the requirements of Quality Plan.

• Will complete the project on time, with quality and within budget.

• Will prepare the project organization chart.

• Will establish and maintain the trades and labor workforce. 

• Will ensure that on-site induction training is carried out.

• Will ensure the Commercial Department Plan the project cash flow chart at early stage of the project.

• Will follow and confirm that payments (interim payments and Final payments) are collected on time and the project cash flow is maintained.

• Confirm all required insurance and guarantees are placed and updated for project's implementation.

• Provide risk assessment report every month and any mitigation plan in due course of the project implementation.

Job Requirement:

• Education: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or in a related field of study

• Experience: 7 years and above experience with at least 2 years as a project manager in road.
