Job Description
The Role holder is responsible to Coordinate between the company and the other entities to streamline operations, resolve right of way issues, improve communications, and generally ensure that the relationship is as beneficial as possible. A key element of this work will be coordinate and developing company operations, plans includingmeeting the requirement of external stake holders
Ensure that all property sites have complete and valid permits as part of compliance for the operations of the property management offices
Process the permit requirements of all newly EEC construction property sites including business permits and technical permits
Renew the permits of all operational property sites
Coordinate with the property management office and other departments to ensure that the requirements for the processing or renewal of permits are complete
Liaise the permit requirements to the different local and national government units
Negotiate with the government units to ensure the timely availability of the permits of the property sites
Process right of way issue with different government units for construction works.
Be responsible for all authority related works and support the business as needed
Coordinate and conducting public consultation
Coordinate Right of Way /Row/ and following relocation activities
As required involve in coordination of STD and HIV/AIDS alleviation programs as well as GBV and Gender mainstreaming
Provide solutions for Social and Environmental issues
Identify, Manage and Provide solutions for Environmental, Social, Occupational, Health and safety risks
Design projects leading to environmental protection, such as water reclamation facilities, air pollution control systems, and operations that convert waste to energy
Update and maintain plans, permits, and standard operating procedures
Provide technical support for social and environmental remediation projects and for legal actions
Analyse scientific data and do quality-control checks
Monitor the progress of social and environmental improvement programs
Handle social grievances attributed to project in a respectful manner and resolving conflict in Right of way and other social issue
Develop procedures and management systems that support the highest standards of governance and corporate responsibility
Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Social, Environmental and Safety compliance report
Consult and Peace building between Project affected People, Kebele, Woreda and the Project
Manage, Measure, record land acquisition data: land, house, tree and other valuable property which belong to Project Affected Persons (PAPs)
Work with project, Kebele, woreda, Zone and other stakeholder groups for the proper consideration of community interest such as RAP/LRP
Qualifications and Experience Required:
BSC/BA Degree in any field of study
2 years or more work experience in the field.
Familiar with Right of way, relocation process with concerned government body
Ability to lead complex operations with multiples stake holders Good understanding of infrastructure project cycles Ability to recommend practical solutions based on strategic thinking, innovation, creativity and sound judgment
Must be knowledgeable in the permitting process especially with regards to the coordination with the government units
Preferably with established networks in the different government units
Must have good communication and negotiation skills
Must be willing to work all over Ethiopia
Can start as soon as possible
Familiar with Auto Cad, Familiar with GPS,
Familiar with Computer skills including MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS- Access, MS-PowerPoint and related,
Familiar with local/project culture and language,
Familiar with law applicable (Local + Federal) and Versatile (Familiarity with site and office work).
Commitment to working efficiently and accurately
Ability to balance community expectation with company constraints and limitations
Ability to multitask and remain positive and motivated
