Job Description

ATTA Trading PLC is looking to hire a qualified Store Keeper for its Modjo site. The Store Keeper will be responsible for managing, controlling, and safeguarding all materials, tools, and equipment at the project site, ensuring proper receiving, storage, issuance, and reporting in compliance with company procedures.

The Store Keeper will be responsible for the effective management of all materials, tools, and equipment at ATTA Trading’s Modjo site. This role involves receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and safeguarding inventory in accordance with company policies and procedures. The Store Keeper ensures accurate record-keeping, timely reporting, and smooth coordination with site teams to support project operations while minimizing losses, shortages, or delays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Receiving Materials

  • Receive and inspect all incoming materials, supplies, and equipment delivered to the site.

  • Verify quality, quantity, and specifications against purchase orders and delivery notes.

  • Reject or report damaged/incorrect deliveries immediately.

2. Storing and Inventory Management

  • Arrange and store materials systematically to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration.

  • Maintain proper labeling and coding for easy identification.

  • Ensure sensitive items (cement, paints, electrical materials, etc.) are stored under proper conditions.

  • Conduct regular stock checks and keep accurate inventory records.

3. Issuing and Distribution

  • Issue materials and tools only against approved requisitions.

  • Record all issues in stock cards and software/system (if applicable).

  • Ensure materials are delivered on time to site teams without delays.

4. Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain updated records of receipts, issues, and balance of stock.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for site management.

  • Keep records of all materials returned, transferred, or scrapped.

  • Assist in stock audits and provide supporting documents when required.

5. Compliance and Security

  • Ensure that the store is kept clean, organized, and secure at all times.

  • Follow company procedures and Ethiopian labor regulations regarding inventory management.

  • Monitor consumption patterns and alert management about unusual stock usage or shortages.

  • Prevent unauthorized access to the store.

6. Coordination and Support

  • Work closely with the procurement and finance teams for reconciliation.

  • Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to ensure timely availability of materials.

  • Support logistics in arranging transportation of materials as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Store Keeper (construction/industrial projects preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of inventory control and storekeeping procedures.

  • Good computer skills (MS Excel, inventory management systems).

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Integrity and trustworthiness.
