About the role:

Graphic designers create text and images to communicate ideas. They make visual concepts by hand or using computer software, intended for publishing in paper or online media such as advertisements, websites, and magazines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Apply a variety of visual techniques in order to design graphic material. Combine graphical elements to communicate concepts and ideas.

• Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients or supervisors and making necessary changes.

• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.

• Develop new artistic concepts and creative ideas.

• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.

• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary

• Create drawings using digital illustration programmes and techniques.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio

• Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, After effects and Illustrator.

• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Understanding of digital marketing, production, web design, corporate identity, advertisements, and multimedia design

• Knowledge of graphical tools such as Autodesk Maya, Blender which enable digital editing, modelling, rendering and composition of graphics.

• A strong eye for aesthetics, details and visual composition

• Typography knowledge

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Graphics Design or in a related field of study

Experience:

• 2-3 in a similar role
