Biomedical engineers combine knowledge of engineering principles and biological findings for the development of medical treatments, medicaments, and general healthcare purposes. They can develop solutions ranging from the improvement of the components in conventional medicaments up to implants developments, and tissue treatment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Installing and calibrating biomedical machines, equipment, and software.

• Evaluating the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical machines, equipment, and software.

• Maintaining and repairing biomedical machines and equipment, when needed.

• Providing technical support, when needed.

• Keeping up-to-date service histories on all biomedical machines and equipment.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 0 years of experience for candidates with a degree, or 3 years of experience for candidates with a diploma.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in computer skills, including: Experience with relevant software such as MATLAB, AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, R, Python)

• Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)Basic programming knowledge is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
