Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Site Engineer to support our procurement and resourcing operations on-site. This role bridges engineering execution with procurement logistics, ensuring timely delivery and compliance of materials and resources essential for project success.
Quantity Required: 5
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing procurement schedules based on project timelines and engineering requirements.
Liaise with the central procurement team to track material requisitions and delivery status.
Verify delivered materials on-site against specifications and report discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, delivery logs, and supplier communications.
Support site engineers in forecasting material needs and identifying long-lead items.
Participate in technical evaluations of suppliers and subcontractors when required.
Ensure compliance with EEC procurement policies and project-specific standards.
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage inventory and site deliveries.
Prepare weekly reports on procurement progress and site resource utilisation.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and site logistics.
Job Requirements:
Education; Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience: Fresh graduates or up to 1 year of experience in site engineering or procurement (internship experience is acceptable).
Strong organizational, documentation communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic project management tools.
Passion for on-site work and willingness to learn procurement processes.
Basic understanding of procurement processes and construction materials.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic project environments.
Commitment to quality, safety, and ethical standards.
Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Familiarity with Ethiopian construction regulations and standards.
