Job Description
IT Support and Operation Heads coordinate ICT services and infrastructure ensuring that the organisation has the required infrastructural resources. They also plan and monitor stages of either a business process or a computer process, negotiate contracts and take mitigation action in case of non-fulfilment of agreements. They oversee the day-to-day tasks involving infrastructure components, ICT systems and software.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT service.
Manage and lead the IT support team.
Oversee the resolution of technical issues.
Ensure the smooth operation of IT services.
Develop and implement IT support policies and procedures.
Monitor system performance and ensure IT compliance standards.
Work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs.
Provide timely and effective solutions to technical problems.
Train and mentor IT support staff.
Manage IT support budgets and resources.
Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
Prepare and present reports on IT support activities.
Ensure customer satisfaction with IT support services.
Implement and manage IT support tools and software.
Conduct regular performance reviews of IT support staff.
Develop and maintain IT support documentation.
Handle escalated IT support issues.
Plan and execute IT support projects.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
BSc degree in computer science or related field.
6+ years of experience in IT support.
2+ years of experience in a managerial role.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of IT support processes and best practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
Excellent communication and customer care skills
ITIL certification, MCSE + Security and CISCO Certified (Desirable)
