Network administrators maintain operation of a reliable, secure, and efficient data communications network, including LAN, WAN, intranet, and internet. They perform network address assignment, management and implementation of routing protocols such as ISIS, OSPF, BGP, routing table configurations and certain implementations of authentication.

Duties and Responsibilites:

• Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots the internal computer network including planning and other activities reserved for the most complex issues.

• Troubleshoots and solves the most complex network connectivity problems, including monitoring the network and servers for problems, diagnosing problems, and taking the appropriate corrective measures to ensure an expedient resolution.

• Defines and implements network disaster recovery and hardware, software and information protection and file integrity.

• Ensures network security by ensuring proper user accessibility, and being able to reasonably guard against the most complex threats to security that will face the network.

• Installs, administers, supports, and maintains server hardware, peripherals, software, and operating systems.

• Maintains, prepares, and upholds processes for reporting, statistically monitoring, and logging network performance, including identifying and resolving the most complex performance issues that may face the servers and network.

• Conducts research on various networks and products of networking in support of its development and procurement efforts.

• Evaluates and recommends network and server hardware and software for purchase.

• Develops and maintains installation, operational, and configuration procedures.

• Secure the network system by establishing and enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access.

• Monitor network performance and resolve issues promptly.

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures and incident reports.

• Perform periodic network firmware upgrades and diagnose problems with network equipment, performing repairs or upgrades as needed.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Six years of experience in network administration.

• Proven experience in network administration and with large enterprise network technologies, such as: VLANs, dynamic routing protocols (including OSPF and BGP), 802.1x authentication, WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise wireless encryption, VPNs, and application-level firewalls.

• Cisco Networking, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ Certification

• Cisco CCNA Certification
