Company Introduction:

Shangtex Garment Manufacturing PLC belongs to Orient Internal (Holding) Co. LTD, which is one of the largest textile and garment import & export groups in China. The company is listed 275th among China's top 500 companies in 2024. Ethiopia Factory is the first investment of Garment Manufacturing Base in Africa from the Group.The total investment of the Ethiopian factory exceeds 50 Million USD, which is one of the largest single investments in Ethiopia. There are 2 phases of the project, total 100,000 square meters. Phase I covers an area of 55,000 square meters, manufacturing area 60,000 square meters, 3 buildings. Phase I plans a sweater factory, with total capacity of 10 million pieces per year. Phase II has 45,000 square meters under planning, focus on Textile and value chain supporting to Phase I. Our factory is the largest scale for sweater manufacturing in the whole Africa.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified HR manager who can be responsible for the effective management of local employees in terms of recruitment, training, salary&benefit, performance evaluation and employee relations, assisting in coordinating the construction of human resources systems and daily HR work, and ultimately achieving the purpose of rational use of labor and improving worker efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Supervise and implement the company's existing HR management system, ensure that daily work is executed in an orderly manner and implemented in accordance with regulations, and maintain the company's authority.

  • Responsible for the recruitment of all local employees, complete the recruitment tasks within the specified time, and be responsible for the results.

  • Responsible for training local employees and tracking the results. The training includes but is not limited to company culture, factory disciplines, relevant laws and regulations, and customer compliance requirements.

  • Assist other departments to handle employee complaints and improve employee relations to ensure that daily work and production are not affected and there are no major strikes.

  • Responsible for the statistics and payment of monthly employee salary, benefits, and performance to ensure that workers receive their wages on time.

  • Responsible for statistics and proofreading of daily, weekly and monthly worker-related data, including but not limited to daily worker attendance, piecework output, benefits&allowance, examinations and training rewards, etc., to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of data.

  • Proficient in using Excel and other software to collect statistics and analyze HR-related data and report to management regularly, put forward effective suggestions and improvement measures and formulate draft policies&procedures based on actual conditions.

  • Complete other temporary tasks assigned by the company's management.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: PhD, Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or in a related field of study

  • Experience: 2 - 5 years of working experience
