Job Description

The Junior Transport Contract Administrator plays a crucial role in managing transport contracts efficiently. This position involves ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating effective communication between internal teams, transport providers, and customers. The ideal candidate possesses strong administrative skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management:

  • Review and analyze transport contract terms and conditions.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of contract documentation, amendments, and renewals.

  • Assist in negotiating and executing transport contracts.

2.     Communication and Coordination:

  • Coordinate communication between internal teams, transport providers, and customers regarding contract requirements.

  • Provide ongoing assistance to staff in the administration of transport contractual agreements.

  • Assist in resolving any issues or disputes related to transport contracts promptly.

3.     Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare reports and conduct analysis related to transport contract performance.

  • Track transport payments to vendors as per contract terms.

4.     Pre-Bid Meetings and Guidance:

  • Participate in pre-bid meetings to contribute insights on transport contracts.

  • Provide guidance during the preparation of transport contracts, agreements, amendments, and change orders.

5.     Record Maintenance:

  • Maintain transport contract files, driver records, and other relevant documentation.

  • Prepare status reports and reconcile differences with Finance and the Road Transport Operation Manager.

  • Execute tasks assigned by direct leaders promptly and efficiently.

  • Consolidte shipments for LTL and FTL trucks.

  • Brief drivers and truck owners.

  • Monitor shipment status and address pending requests.

  • Oversee loading and unloading of shipments and related documents.

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly shipment reports.

  • Prepare payment request documents for LTL and FTL trucks.

  • Organize and prepare documents for payables and receivables

Job Requirements:

  • Educaiton: Bachelor's Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or in a related field of study
