Job Description
The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the efficient and effective transportation, storage, and distribution of goods. This role involves managing the supply chain process, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
Location: Addis Ababa
Quantity Required: 1
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit accurate documentation required for customs clearance (e.g. invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport companies for the movement of goods by sea, air, and land.
Maintain organized records of all shipping, customs, and logistics documents.
Communicate with internal departments (procurement, finance, warehouse) for coordination of logistics activities.
Monitor transportation and customs-related costs to support budgeting and cost reduction efforts.
Assist with inventory planning and stock-level tracking as required.
Track shipments from origin to final destination and ensure timely delivery.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, management, accounting and finance or in a related field of study with relevant work experience
Minimum Years of Experience:1-3 years
Graduate from a recognized governmental university
